Research and projects

A university thrives on its projects and the associated research. The Faculty of Media and Information covers a broad spectrum of media topics with the courses offered, which are dealt with in a practice-oriented manner in research as well as student projects.

At one end of the spectrum is artistic research with interactive media. At the other, more technical end of the spectrum, you will find IT security, the tasks of which are gaining in importance for more and more people as technical innovations increasingly shape our everyday lives.  Design projects, with the goal of innovatively implementing visual products, are just as much a part of our faculty as projects in the area of media management, media informatics and media technology.

Due to the interdisciplinary structure of the faculty, many tasks and projects can be considered simultaneously, from different scientific perspectives. The knowledge gained from research also benefits the economy, which can adopt and incorporate ideas and innovations into its products.
