The study program Media Design and Production (m.gp) takes seven semesters and concludes with the academic degree Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). This program includes the full range of static and time-based media: from freehand sketches to digital productions. The courses are a unity of theory and practice which focuses on film design, sound design, video, animation, web and print design as well as on interactive media. Lectures in media technology, media economics, communication sciences, media ethics and media aesthetics create the scientific frame of this program.
As a graduate, you can work in the field of video and film design, computer animation, TV design, sound design, post-production, web design, internet applications, print design and the conception, planning and organization of media production.
Course of study
After a basic education in media relevant topics you can specialize in selected knowledge sections in the field of media.
This study program only starts in summer semesters. Around 36 students are admitted to the course each year. In addition to the general university entrance conditions the applicants have to pass an entrance examination (verification of distinct artistic talent).
Closing date for application and portfolio submission is November 1st. The entrance examination is held in December.
